In Honduras, September is filled with celebrations, making it a lively and busy month for both school and church.

The festivities began on September 1st with National Flag Day, when we honor the Honduran flag. In the evening, the torchlighting parade takes place, with all the schools in the community participating. Families and parents joined in, creating a joyful atmosphere.

On September 10th, we celebrated Children’s Day, one of the most anticipated days of the year. This special occasion is marked with piñatas, candy, games, gifts, and endless fun for the children!

The celebrations continued on September 15th with Independence Day, a national holiday full of pride and excitement.

Starting as early as 6:30am, schools gather in their finest attire, with marching bands and colorful pompoms symbolizing freedom and unity. in their best clothes, bands, and many pompoms alluding to independence.

Teacher Day was celebrated September 17th. All the teachers were invited to have dinner with Azacualpa’s mayor that evening. To conclude the month, we observed National Bible Day on September 28th. While it may seem unusual to some, in Honduras this holiday is cherished and celebrated with parades, floats and joy!

As you can see, September is an eventful month for us. We are deeply grateful to our dedicated staff, teachers, parents, and the entire Ministries of Faith team for making these celebrations so memorable and successful.
