I was just about to hit the sack without writing anything and turned out the light. I then noticed our bedroom door. Just as always, it is unlocked. We keep the bolt lock out so that the door doesn’t shut all the way because it shuts very noisily and we often come and go after the kids are asleep.
In our room we keep our cameras, our laptop, our wallets, in essence everything we have. The lack of a lock is completely unfrightening here. And, what is remarkable about that is that everyone here is living by faith financially. Every YWAMer earns no salary and depends upon the gifts of others for their livelihood. There are many here who have very little money and even just a couple of pounds would be a blessing for them. I know of one person in our class who has 44 pounds left to their name.
It is so wonderful living, sharing, and being in community with others who are trying to follow Jesus faithfully. Praise God for His grace to bring us here.
