In case you can’t read the sign, that is Acambaro, a fantastic and authentic Mexican restaurant on College Avenue in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
That’s my pa in the back, getting ready to treat us to our first real Mexican food in nearly six months!
Eating Mexican in the States is always a treat when you come in really hungry, because they always rush out as soon as you sit down with a huge bowl of chips and salsa!
I thought to myself, as they set these glasses in front of me, that it is no wonder we Americans struggle with weight gain. I hadn’t seen a glass that big and that filled with a sugary Coca Cola since we left America. And then, we still had our plates of food coming. I thought, well, I only ordered the $3.99 lunch special – it shouldn’t be too big…
but that would be a days’ worth of food in the Philippines… burp. Eat your heart out, English friends. 🙂
