1. Tara. Her commitment to the Father is inspiring and compelling.
2. Tanner, Keaton and Regan. God shows me more about His love every day through them, and He teaches me more about where I need to grow through them than through any other source. They also love their mommy and daddy very much and are tremendous gifts from God.
3. Health. After having a nagging illness and pneumonia, a 105 degree fever in the Philippines, and watching each of my kids have various ailments, I am so thankful to feel strong again and that my kids are doing well.
4. The basics. Food, shelter, clothing. After seeing many on Mindanao lack in these very areas, one cannot help but realize how precious it is to enjoy having an abundance in these areas.
5. The bible. Having bibles laying around the house has been the norm for me; now I’ve been to places where people not only don’t have the bible, but they also don’t have any books, running water, a toilet or even a fan to move the air.
6. Family. We have supportive parents who love us. They don’t like us leaving the country, but they support us with encouragement, finances, and prayers.
7. Friends. So many people from so many different places, walks of life, and ages join us in our mission for families all over the world.
8. Security. That I have rarely lived where I needed security involving machine guns, at least not right next to me.
9. Rest. Sabbath. Jubilee.
10. Color. Flowers. Tanner, my 8-year old son, named these things when we asked him about things for which he was thankful.
