Find rest in God alone, writes David, in Psalm 62. He even addresses himself – “Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from Him.” Psalm 62:5.
What does that mean? How can we find rest in God alone?
In the same Psalm David affirms that God is his rock, salvation, fortress, hope, and refuge; He is worthy of unwavering trust, strong, and loving. David also pours out his heart to Him.
David clearly knew God. He knew His heart, His character, and His nature. He felt completely safe with God.
Are you like David? Can you tell God your heart? Or do you hide from Him like Adam and Eve? Are you tyrranized by what others think or say about you or do you find rest knowing that God is strong and loving and that you are completely safe and fulfilled in Him alone?
