I don’t take this lightly because I rarely commit myself to one favorite. If someone asks me my favorite movie, I’ll name at least three and the list changes. If they ask me my favorite color, I’ll always say two. I just don’t like to narrow things down to one “favorite.” I really enjoy many things and I like to have many choices. I also like to surprise people (unfortunately too often in my pride) with unexpected choices.Â
I had to fight off some of those old ways of thinking to come to this conclusion, but, once I did, it was not hard at all for me to pick one favorite blogger. The wisdom and humility evidenced by Paul Burleson at http://vtmbottomline.blogspot.com/ is a testimony to the grace of God through Jesus Christ in a man’s life. I only wish he would write more often.Â
In his two most recent posts he talks of the return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The last one was absolutely wonderful. As we all are looking forward to a New Year, I’d suggest you take time to read those and ponder the words Peter scribed almost 2000 years ago in 2 Peter 3. Here is just a taste: “But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness.” 2 Peter 3:13.Â
